PHC has expanded it's services to include occupational therapy in 2025

 

Occupational Therapy services include: 

• Clients aged 12 years and above.

• Upper Limb injuries or impairments requiring therapy. 

• Neurological conditions (e.g. Brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, cerebral palsy).  

• Aged Care Referrals. 

• Capacity building programs / skill building programs. 

• Simple home modifications (e.g. grab rails, lever taps, step modifications, advice regarding home accessibility).  

• Low cost assistive technology (e.g. showering equipment, toileting equipment, adaptive cutlery, dressing aids, aids to facilitate memory and routine, personal alarms).  

• Functional Capacity Assessments (limited availability).  

• Ergonomic assessment and recommendations (work station).

Occupational Therapy is eligible for claims through private health funds.
